Just three of those teams have perfect records after nine weeks of play.
West York is a member of the elite class, along with Bishop McDevitt and Manheim Central.
The Bulldogs, like Bishop McDevitt and Manheim Central, have remained unscathed despite being a weekly target.
For more than two months, opponents have taken their best shots at the trio, but none have succeeded.
West York's closest call was a 26-21 victory over Red Lion. The Bulldogs have won every other game by at least 13 points.
Coach Ron Miller's team is riding a 17-game regular-season winning streak. In addition to the tight game with Red Lion, West York was pushed hard for almost three quarters by York Suburban, but the defending District 3-AAA champions found a way to win, 33-20.
West York has talent and terrific coaching. It also possesses leadership and the ability to stay in the present and not think about what happened last week or what may happen next week.
The Bulldogs will aim to close out an undefeated regular season on Friday night against Littlestown.
West York will be at home, where it's won 21 in a row, but it will be going against an opponent which will seek to gain a share of the York-Adams League Division II crown with a victory. The Bulldogs enter the game with a 5-0 division mark, and the Thunderbolts will check in at 4-1. West York is shooting for its third consecutive division title.
The
The on-again, off-again rivalry, will shut down after this game, at least for the next two years, when Littlestown moves to Division III as part of a league realignment.
While West York and Littlestown settle the Division II race on Friday night, Delone Catholic (8-1 overall) is a strong favorite to defeat Hanover (1-7) and wrap up its third straight Division III title. (The Squires, who are 5-0 in the division this season, shared the championship with Bermudian Springs and Biglerville in 2008).
Meanwhile, in Division I, Central and South Western, both, 5-1, will bid to each grab a piece of the crown. The Panthers will visit arch-rival York High (3-3 in the division) at Small Athletic Field, and the Mustangs will host New Oxford (2-4 in the division).
