PITTSBURGH—Carnegie Mellon University is going to be offering a new degree program this fall.
The bachelor of computer science and arts will be an interdisciplinary program that explores the connection between computers and the arts.
Officials say students will take a sequence of full-strength computer science courses with a rigorous concentration in studio or performing arts.
School officials say eight students are scheduled to transfer into the new program. Several first-year students will enter the program in the fall.
