PITTSBURGH—A former Beaver County pharmacist had been sentenced to nearly five years in federal prison for mail fraud and illegal drug distribution.

Along with the 57 months in prison, 57-year-old Peter Antinopoulos, of Economy, was ordered Thursday to pay $683,000 restitution. He pleaded guilty in April.

Prosecutors say he submitted bogus invoices to the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare and insurance and pharmaceutical companies between January 2003 to September 2005.
