LACEYVILLE, Pa.—Authorities in Wyoming County say a head-on crash between a van and a car killed two eldery women.
State police say a van was heading east on Route 6 near the Wyoming County Fairgrounds in Meshoppen Township. They say the van crossed the center line at about 2 p.m. Wednesday and collided head-on with a westbound car.
Police say the 76-year-old woman driving the van died at the scene, and her 73-year-old passenger died at a hospital. A man, a woman and three small children were taken to various hospitals for treatment of injuries.
The names of the victims have not been released. The highway was closed for several hours after the crash.
